Have you ever fancied a wooden or stone floor but been put off the idea? Perhaps it’s been the cost of the wood itself, the hassle of subfloor preparation, or (as we often hear) the thought of marking your lovely new wooden floor with high heels. What alternatives are there that are a little bit better than boring old kitchen vinyl? Enter Moduleo.
One of a fast-growing product range called LVT (that’s Luxury Vinyl Tile to the rest of us), Moduleo is a hard-wearing and practical alternative to a wood or stone floor. If you’ve heard of Karndean or Amtico it’s a similar product, but here’s where it gets interesting. Moduleo is one of a new breed of LVT products which actually clicks together (just like wood or laminate flooring) – and it’s possible to save hundreds of pounds over traditional vinyls because it’s often the case that less subfloor preparation work is required.
Moduleo is really easy to install for the DIYer too. No special tools are required for most installations, and it looks simply stunning on the floor – even if you’re not a professional floor layer. And unlike wood flooring there’ll be no worries about using it in high moisture areas such as bathrooms – Moduleo will thrive here, and each plank or tile clicks securely into place, keeping moisture on the surface.
Moduleo is available in both woodplank and tile designs, and a traditional stick-down version is available with feature strips similar to Karndean and Amtico. While we’re busy uploading photos of this range, here are a few of our favourites:
We’re preparing an in-depth article on Moduleo which will be published on the site soon. In the meantime for more information, samples and prices on the beautiful Moduleo range, just get in touch with us and we’ll do our best to help.
