Jute

Jute is a good all-rounder, the sort you always hated in school. The various pecies of the genus Cochorous grow in Bangladesh, where they're harvested and put to use in making cloth (hessian), curtains, and (you've guessed it) carpet. People even make paper and tea from it!

Our Jute collection is small but perfectly formed. The soft, silky finish doesn't take well to heavy traffic, but it's perfect for bedrooms.
